World Clock

Current time in multiple cities, updating live.

See the current time in several cities around the world at once, updating live and automatically accounting for daylight saving time — add or remove cities to build your own list.

How to use the world clock

The clock starts with ten major cities: New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney. Remove any city with its × button, and add others from the "Add a city" list. Every clock updates every second and adjusts for daylight saving time automatically.

In 2026, US daylight saving time runs from March 8 to November 1. Europe changes on different dates (the last Sundays of March and October), so for a few weeks each spring and fall the gap between New York and London is one hour shorter than usual.

Unusual time zones

Not every zone is a whole number of hours from UTC. India is UTC+5:30, Nepal is UTC+5:45, and Newfoundland in Canada is UTC−3:30. China uses a single time zone for the whole country, even though it spans about five zones' worth of width.

When it's useful

  • Remote teams: see at a glance whether colleagues are in working hours before you message them.
  • Family abroad: pick a good time to call without waking anyone up.
  • Travel: check the time at your destination before you book or land.
  • Trading and live events: follow market hours and broadcasts in other countries.

To convert a specific meeting time between zones, use the time zone converter.

Frequently asked questions

Does this update live?

Yes — every clock ticks in real time and automatically accounts for each city's current daylight saving status.

Can I add cities that aren't in the default list?

Yes — use the "Add a city" dropdown to add any of the supported time zones to your list.

Is my chosen city list saved?

Your list stays for as long as you're on the page, but resets if you reload — nothing is saved or sent anywhere.

What is UTC?

Coordinated Universal Time — the world's reference time, kept by atomic clocks. Time zones are described as hours ahead of or behind UTC; for example, New York is UTC−5 in winter.
