Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026
This policy explains what information Everyday Tools (everydaytoolz.com) collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. The site is operated by Anup Ghimire.
What you type into our tools
Calculators and converters on this site run in your browser. The numbers, names, dates, text and files you enter into a tool are processed on your own device and are not sent to our servers. The exceptions are tools that clearly need outside data — for example, the currency converter requests current exchange rates from a rate service — and even then, what you type isn't stored.
Local storage
Some tools (for example, the lucky draw wheel) save their working data in your browser's local storage so it's still there next time you visit. This data lives only on your device — we can't see it, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our web host records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time — to keep the site secure and working. We also keep an anonymous count of how often each tool page is viewed, which isn't linked to any person. In addition, the third-party services below collect information through cookies and similar technologies.
Advertising
This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure their performance, and — if you allow it — personalize them based on your visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- Learn how Google uses data: How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Turn off personalized ads from Google: Google Ads Settings.
- Opt out of personalized ads from many other ad companies: aboutads.info.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which tools are popular and which pages load slowly — so we can improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as pages visited, time on page, device type and approximate location. We don't use it to identify you personally. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message, and use them only to reply to you. We don't add you to any mailing list.
How we share information
We don't sell your personal information for money, and we don't ask you to create an account. Information is shared only with the service providers described above (our web host, and Google for advertising and analytics), or when required by law.
Your US state privacy rights
Residents of California and several other US states — including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas and Oregon — have rights under their state privacy laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA). Depending on where you live, these may include the right to:
- know what personal information is collected about you and how it's used;
- ask us to delete or correct personal information we hold about you;
- opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or its use for targeted advertising;
- not be treated differently for using these rights.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. We don't sell personal information for money. However, the advertising cookies described above may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some state laws. To opt out, turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings, use your browser's cookie settings to block third-party cookies, or turn on the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, which our ad partners treat as an opt-out request where they support it. Where a privacy choices message appears on the site, you can also use it to opt out.
To make any other request, email contact@everydaytoolz.com with the subject "Privacy request." Because we don't keep accounts or profiles, we usually hold little or no information that can be linked to you, but we'll respond to every request within 45 days.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it.
