Numerology Compatibility Calculator
Compare two life path numbers for fun.
Compare the life path numbers of two people to see a traditional numerology compatibility read, based on their birthdates.
How life path numbers are calculated
Each birthdate is reduced to a single "life path" number. The month, day and year are each added up and reduced to one digit, then added together and reduced again. Master numbers 11, 22 and 33 are kept as they are.
Example: July 4, 1990
- Month: 7
- Day: 4
- Year: 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19 → 1 + 9 = 10 → 1 + 0 = 1
- Total: 7 + 4 + 1 = 12 → 1 + 2 = 3
The three groups
| Group | Numbers | Traditional traits |
|---|---|---|
| Independent | 1, 5, 7 | Self-driven, curious, values freedom |
| Grounded | 2, 4, 8 | Practical, steady, builds security |
| Expressive | 3, 6, 9 | Creative, warm, people-focused |
Master numbers are grouped by their reduced digit (11 → 2, 22 → 4, 33 → 6).
Reading the result
- Same number: numerology traditionally sees this as an excellent match — shared outlook and rhythm.
- Same group: different numbers with a naturally similar approach to life.
- Different groups: contrasting strengths that can complement each other with some effort.
Numerology is a traditional belief system, not science. Real compatibility comes from communication, shared values and respect — enjoy this as a conversation starter, not a verdict.
Frequently asked questions
How is compatibility worked out?
Both life path numbers are grouped by a traditional numerology grouping (1/5/7 = independent, 2/4/8 = grounded, 3/6/9 = expressive) — pairs in the same or a naturally complementary group are shown as more compatible.
Is this scientifically accurate?
No — like all numerology, this is a traditional practice, not a scientifically validated one. It's here purely for fun.
Can two people with different groups be compatible?
Of course. Numerology frames different groups as contrasting strengths, and in real relationships, differences in temperament often balance each other out.
